1. About this policy
By visiting our website, requesting a quote, booking a move, or otherwise interacting with Nation Movers, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and, where applicable, any bill of lading, order for service, or written estimate you sign in connection with your move.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, information generated automatically when you use our website, and information from third parties (such as referral partners and lead providers).
a. Information you provide
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address, and preferred language.

- Payment information: credit/debit card or ACH details processed by our PCI-compliant payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Identification & verification: a government ID may be requested at pickup or delivery for storage-in-transit or interstate moves as required by federal regulations.

- Survey & feedback: responses to satisfaction surveys and reviews you submit.
b. Information collected automatically

- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 5.
- Call recordings: if permitted by applicable law and where disclosed at the beginning of the call, we may record inbound and outbound telephone conversations for quality assurance, training, and dispute-resolution purposes.
c. Information from third parties
- Lead aggregators and comparison-shopping services that you authorize to share your quote request with us.
- Advertising platforms (e.g., Google, Meta) reporting conversions and ad performance for our campaigns.
- Background-check and anti-fraud providers used to verify high-value or international shipments where required.
3. How we use information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- Provide quotes and services: calculate a moving estimate, route the right crew and equipment, book, schedule, dispatch, perform, and invoice your move.
- Compliance: meet federal (FMCSA), state, and local regulatory requirements for household-goods motor carriers, including recordkeeping, inventory, and bill-of-lading obligations.
- Customer support & claims: respond to inquiries, investigate and resolve service issues, process claims under our tariff and valuation coverage, and defend legal rights.
- Improve our services: analyze traffic and conversion data to improve pricing accuracy, UX, and operational efficiency.
- Marketing, with your consent: send promotions, newsletters, and service reminders where permitted by law. You can opt out at any time.
- Security & fraud prevention: detect, prevent, and respond to fraudulent quote requests, chargebacks, or misuse of our site.
6. Calls, texts & email consent
Phone calls. By providing your phone number, you consent to receive calls from Nation Movers related to your quote, booking, or move. We may record calls as described above. Message and data rates may apply.
SMS / text messages. If you opt in to text communications, you consent to receive transactional messages (quote details, driver ETA, confirmations) and, where applicable, promotional messages. Message frequency varies. Text STOP to opt out at any time, and HELP for help. Standard messaging and data rates apply. Opting out will not affect your ability to receive service related to a move already booked.
Email. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message. Service-related emails (e.g., your booking confirmation or invoice) will continue.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to satisfy legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements. Household-goods carriers are generally required to retain bill-of-lading and shipping records for a minimum period under federal and state law.
When no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or securely archive the data.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These include TLS encryption in transit, access controls, employee training, and vendor due-diligence. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Opt out of certain uses, including marketing and targeted advertising.
- Portability of your information, where required.
- Withdraw consent you previously gave, without affecting prior lawful processing.
To exercise a right, contact us using the details in Section 15. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may authorize an agent to act on your behalf.
10. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to know the specific categories of personal information we have collected, the sources, purposes, and categories of third parties, and the right to delete, correct, and limit the use of sensitive personal information.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: We do not sell personal information for monetary value. To the extent any of our advertising cookies constitute a “sale” or “share” under California law, you can opt out by emailing hello@nation-movers.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share,” or by sending a valid Global Privacy Control signal from your browser.
We will not retaliate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
