How the claims process works

Notify us within 9 months
Federal regulations give you up to 9 months from delivery to file a written claim. Sooner is always better — call or email as soon as you notice damage or loss.

Document the issue
Take dated photos of damaged items in the spot they were unwrapped, plus the original packaging. Save serial numbers and any repair estimates you obtain.

Submit the claim form
Email the form below to our claims team. We'll confirm receipt within one business day and assign a dedicated claims specialist.

Resolution
Per FMCSA rules we'll acknowledge the claim within 30 days and pay, deny, or make a settlement offer within 120 days. Most claims are closed inside 30.
What to include in your claim
- Move date and order/job number
- Origin and destination addresses
- Itemized list of damaged or missing pieces with descriptions and approximate values
- Photos of the damage and the packaging
- Repair / replacement estimates if available
- Preferred resolution: repair, replacement, or settlement
Coverage applies to articles transported by Nation Movers and follows the valuation option selected on your bill of lading. Released-value protection is $0.60 per pound per article; full-value protection covers the cost of repair, replacement, or cash settlement.
